Committing to the Caseload

You will be well aware of all the fab reasons to join our professional team in this hugely rewarding role. We don’t want any surprises for you along the way; that wouldn’t be fair! So let’s talk about timing and commitment.

Being a Care Expert is not a trivial undertaking. People should certainly not consider this work without understanding the ongoing commitments.

It’s a competitive business, so being committed in your approach will make a big difference to the number of instructions you will receive. We will certainly be committed in ours. We do all we can to provide you with a consistent flow of cases, but like most aspects of professional life, the more you put in, the more you get back. So you should carefully consider if you have the time before committing.

We know that 10 hours a week is the ongoing level of commitment required to get the job done well; we have 30 years’ experience in this so, rest assured, we haven’t plucked that figure from nowhere. We operate to a high standard of service and our customers (solicitors) come back case after case because of this. We appreciate you are juggling your day-to-day job, family life and any other personal commitments, so having a frank conversation between us will only help to establish a lengthy and sustainable future as a Jacqueline Webb Care Expert.

In addition to providing an initial report based on your home visit and assessment, there are very likely to be conference calls or face-to-face meetings with the instructing solicitor, other experts and the barrister. So you need to be prepared for less predictable work later on. Once your report has been submitted to us, it doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the process. Cases can take quite some time to settle so additional work may be required during the lifecycle of a case. That said, generally, any additional work tends to be short and may be due to some new information coming to light or a change in circumstances. Do not fear, you won’t be required to start your reports again!

In the meantime, don’t just take our word for it. Visit our video library by clicking here to hear our current Experts echo these sentiments.
